Carteret County’s First Federally Bonded Winery Opens Its Doors for Business
New Store Hours: Wed – Sat 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Morehead City, NC, March 1, 2006 – Carteret County now has its own Federal Bonded winery located in Morehead City. Somerset Cellars is proud to announce wholesale and retail sales, offering a delightful selection of fine wines created with grapes from all over the world, available for purchase through their web site and at the winery by appointment.
Somerset Cellars owners have searched for quality products from areas like California, France, Italy, Argentina, Chile, Australia, and Germany. The finest grapes are then purchased and crushed at the vineyard to ensure freshness. The crushed grapes are then sent to the Somerset Cellars Winery to be produced into wines that appeal to the most discerning palates.
The winery currently produces 13 different wines throughout the year. Five that are Ultra-Premium wines of which we only procure enough must (grape juice) to produce about 600 bottles of each specially selected type or blend. We change these 5 Ultra-Premium wines annually. These are rapidly becoming collection additions to many local customers’ cellars.
Some area restaurants such as Key West Seafood Company, Lebanon Valley Cuisine, and The Sandbar Grill are currently offering these premium wines to their customers. The public may purchase the wines at the winery by appointment only or at Christina’s Collectables in Cedar Point, under the label of Christina’s Collectables.
More restaurants and retailers are coming on board to provide the great taste of
Somerset Cellars to the Crystal Coast.
